So - The winner of the Moose Bowl will be decided this weekend! Right now, the Rams and Tigers are neck and neck, both with an impressive record of 10-2.
To keep the suspense going, we are going to let it all hinge on the outcome of the Missouri Tigers vs. The Crimson Tide of Alabama.
If Missouri wins, Ben wins. If Missouri loses, no one wins. JK Halle Wins.
Halle, Good thing you are wearing Target Red in support of Alabama this Saturday!
Whoever wins, prizes from the rest of the Musfeldts must be presented this coming weekend. As Mom suggested, everyone should provide the winner with something reminiscent of their college years. I will most definitely be giving cheese curds or the "Caddy Shack" dvd.
In addition, the winner will receive the inaugural Moose Bowl traveling trophy. This is the real reward for all of the effort that everyone has put into cheering for their teams this season. Get pumped, this trophy is awesome!

The Records After 10-19
How were the breakfast burritos this weekend?
Tough loss for Iowa to the Terrapins. Iowa is now 5-2, making that Gopher game in a few weeks the big ticket of the season!
Iowa State lost to Texas, making them 2-5.
CSU beat Utah State, now 6-1!
Mizzou killed the Gators, they are 5-2.
Minnesota beat Purdue (I actually watched the second half - pretty exciting)! 6-1 for the Gophs.
It's safe to say that Mom won't be winning the Moose Bowl. Sorry Carol! Mom, as the first loser, I think it is your responsibility to offer up some sort of prize for the winner. Perhaps each losing Musfeldt could provide the winner with a prize. Prizes do not need to be monetary in nature (you're welcome Abby and Halle), rather thoughtful and to the liking of the winner. For example, if I win, I would like Mom make some sort of baked good and send it to Colorado. Ben and Dad could also include their prize in the package - say a record from Ben and $20 from Dad. Halle could take Abby out to lunch or change her bike tire.
What do we think of this idea? I could still procure a traveling trophy as icing on the cake (refer to post #1).

Gophs do it again!?
How cool, Gophers beat Northwestern. This is the first time that they are 2-0 in the Big Ten since 2004!
So, the standings:
Gophers 5-1
Iowa State 1-4 with a game against Toledo starting NOW!
Iowa is about to beat Indiana, making them 5-1
Missouri got crushed by Georgia 34-0. They are 4-2
CSU plays Nevada tonight, right now they are 4-1

WHOA MINNESOTA BEAT MICHIGAN!?

Ok, here is how we stand:
Iowa beat Purdue, bringing their record to 4-1.
Poor, poor Iowa State lost to Baylor, now 1-3.
CSU Rams are 3-1, they beat Boston College this week.
Missouri is 4-1 after beating the Gamecocks (?) of South Carolina.
And, seriously - Minnesota beat Michigan? Obviously they are having a bad year. 4-1 for the Gophs!

The Scoreboard, early season
Here is how we are fairing up to this weekend, September 13:

The big game today is Iowa v. Iowa State. I'm sure Mom made some awesome food, and Dad and Ben are sitting in their respective chairs and couch cushions. Hal is slangin' goods at Target and I'm heading to Breck so B can buy another pair of skis.
